Wifi that stops being
the reason for the ticket

Surveyed, cabled and configured UniFi networks. Every access point placed because a measurement said so, not because there was a spare ceiling tile.

Sound familiar

The complaint, and what’s actually causing it

“It drops when I walk to the back office.”

One access point trying to cover a footprint that needs three, or two fighting each other on the same channel. A survey settles it in an afternoon.

“Calls break up but the internet is fine.”

No QoS. Voice traffic is queuing behind somebody’s cloud backup. Voice gets its own VLAN and priority.

“We reboot the router every morning.”

Consumer gear doing a commercial job, usually out of DHCP leases or NAT sessions by 10am.

“Guests are on the same wifi as the till.”

A flat network. Guest, staff, voice and payment traffic should never see each other.

“Nobody knows the password, it’s on a sticky note.”

A guest portal with a rotating code, and staff devices on certificates instead of a shared secret.

“It only breaks when we’re busy.”

Access point client limits. Coverage was measured empty and never tested under load.

How a job runs

Measure, cable, configure, watch

Step 01

Site survey

We walk the floor with a meter and a floor plan, note the wall construction, and mark where signal actually dies.

Step 02

Cable & mount

Cat6 pulled, terminated, tested and labelled. Done after hours if the room can’t be down.

Step 03

Configure

VLANs for staff, guest, voice and payments. QoS so calls win. Guest portal with your branding.

Step 04

Monitor

We keep an eye on it. Most of the time we know a switch has dropped before anyone reaches for the phone.

Next step

Tell us what’s not working

Send over your current phone bill or a floor plan and we’ll come back with a fixed quote. No discovery call required.
